Sonic ToothBrush Frequently Asked Questions

BRUSHING

Yes, the toothbrush bristles are Dupont soft bristles which are recommended by the American Dental Association to be safe for gums and teeth. Gum disease, which is inflammation of the gum tissue, needs stimulation from the bristles to remove irritants. Switch to our Sensitive mode initially until your gums heal.

Yes, powered toothbrushes have proven to be helpful around all types of dental restorations, but always consult with your dental professional if you have concerns. The flaring motion of our toothbrush bristles enables a wider span of brushing to reach around implants and braces.

Yes, our Sonic ToothBrush is designed for everyone. Children under the age of 13 may require supervision.

Our toothbrush offers five different modes at different vibration speeds for different comfort levels.

Clean - up to 31,000 strokes per minute, along with unique bristles at the perimeter of the brush head which will flare slightly to clean the teeth and gum line.

Whiten - at the perimeter of the brush head which will flare wider to whiten more surface area.

Polish- at the perimeter of the brush head which will flare more vigorously for a polisheffect.

Massage- bristles at the perimeter of the brush head which will flare wider and add a massage motion for a gentle stimulation to the gum line.

Sensitive- up to 31,000 strokes per minute, along with bristles at the perimeter of the brush head which will flare in a gentler motion for sensitiveareas.

Start with the cheek-side of the teeth, then the tongue-side, ending
with the chewing surfaces. Do not scrub or press hard, simply let the brush do all of the work. Guide the toothbrush head slowly from tooth to tooth. Hold the brush head in place for a few seconds before moving on to the next tooth. Brush along the gum line as well as the teeth.

The unique flaring motion of our toothbrush bristles enables a wider
brushing span to reach the gum line. Gingivitis which can lead to
Periodontitis, bone loss, is best combatted by brushing into the gum line.

The American Dental Association recommends that you brush your teeth for at least two minutes twice a day. Each mode will run for two minutes before stopping.

Each brushing mode offers a vibration frequency delay at 30 second intervals to know when to switch quadrants. You can divide your mouth into four quadrants and brush all the teeth surfaces of each quadrant for 30 seconds.

The ADA recommends brushing twice a day and cleaning
between teeth with an interdental (between the teeth) cleaner such as a water flosser once a day. ToothShower offers a water flosser/toothbrush suite for the shower and a sonic toothbrush, in combination these two home care appliances fulfill the ADA recommendations. Use the shower suite in the morning or evening and the sonic toothbrush at the opposite time.

Yes, the toothbrush has been built with a water-resistant casing to protect the internal parts and can be used in the shower. The charging base is not waterproof and do not clean the charging base by immersing it under running or still water.

BRUSH HEADS

Dental professionals recommend toothbrush heads be changed every three months to ensure effective removal of plaque. If you have been sick place your toothbrush head in an antiseptic mouthwash to clean it sooner.

Reaching the gumline where plaque accumulates, helps prevent gingivitis. Your ToothShower Sonic Toothbrush has perimeter bristles that flare in unique angles to clean and massage the line where the tooth and gum meet. People often miss the gum line, where plaque accumulates. Thorough removal of plaque along the gumline helps prevent gingivitis.

The important unique feature of our flaring toothbrush bristles is only
available with our specific toothbrush heads. We only recommend ToothShower Sonic Toothbrush recommended parts to safely attach to our toothbrush handle.

CARE AND CHARGING

A full charge will take at least 24 hours.  The constant blue LED light indicates charging is in progress. Once fully charged, the light turns off automatically.

Approximately 6 weeks of brushing time, depending upon how often the toothbrush is used. The battery indicator light will blink when the charge is getting low.

Thoroughly rinse any remaining toothpaste off of the toothbrush head bristles after each use. Once a week, remove the brush head and rinse the entire brush head with warm water and wipe the metal rod clean.

The universal standard sized piping extending from the shower wall is a ½” pipe size worldwide. In the United States, it is referred to as ½” NPT (National Pipe Threads) and in Europe, Asia and Africa it is ½” BSP (British Pipe Thread). Even though there are two different names for these pipe size standards, they closely match. The difference between these two thread types can be seen in the pitch (angle of the thread); and to compensate for this plumbing, thread tape is recommended and included in the packaging.

No, but for quantities greater than 4, please contact ToothShower directly.
